Hi, I’m Jo!

Long before photography became my full-time profession, I built a career around people and hospitality.

I’ve worked just about every side of the restaurant business, including owning and operating a restaurant. My career eventually led me into hospitality sales, event design, and production, working closely with clients from the earliest planning stages through the final details of installation.

Photography had also been part of my life for decades. When the event industry came to a standstill in 2020, I turned that lifelong passion into a full-time portrait business.

A few years later, an event photography project brought me back into a world I’d missed. I realized I didn’t have to choose between two things I loved. I could bring them together.

Today, I create portrait experiences for conferences, corporate events, and organizations, combining the personal attention of a portrait studio with the hospitality and production experience that comes from years in the industry.

Great experiences rarely happen by accident.

Every memorable event is the result of hundreds of thoughtful decisions. These are the principles that guide every experience I create.

INTENTIONALITY

The smallest details can make the biggest difference.

Every portrait experience is designed with the same care planners give every other part of an event—from the first introduction to the final image delivery. Thoughtful details don’t happen by chance. They’re chosen with intention.

HOSPITALITY

People remember how they felt long before they remember where they stood.

Hospitality begins long before someone steps in front of my camera. Preparing people before they arrive, learning names, creating calm, reading the room, and helping people feel genuinely welcomed are every bit as important as the portrait itself.

PARTNERSHIP

The photographer should never be the most important person in the room.

The best event partners make everyone else’s job easier. My goal isn’t simply to create beautiful portraits. It’s to help planners feel supported, attendees feel cared for, and the event feel even more successful because I was part of it.
